The International Association of Bookkeepers (IAB) announced that Quentin Pain FIAB had won the Small Business Mentor of the Year award at a prestigious ceremony in London on Friday, 22nd June 2013.
The awards ceremony, which took place at the Institution of Civil Engineers headquarters in London featured Tony Robinson OBE as the keynote speaker.
The IAB is the only bookkeeping association in the UK whose exams are accredited by Ofqual, the official examination body of the UK Government.
The awards have been an annual event for many years, but this is only the second time an award for mentor of the year has been awarded.
The awards were sponsored by SFEDI, the non-profit UK Sector Skills Body for Enterprise.
SFEDI and the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IoEE) have been helping businesses throughout the UK by educating them about business mentors and how they can help business owners on their path to success.
On hearing of his success, Quentin said “I am absolutely delighted to win this award. I have been helping small businesses for over 30 years, so this means an enormous amount to me. I would like to dedicate the award to all those entrepreneurs throughout the UK who are helping to make this country great again.”
